The MYP Fundamental concepts:
- Interculture awareness: this concept is concerned with developing students attitudes, knowledge and skills as they learn about their own and others social and national cultures. It not only fosters tolerance and respect, but also leads to empathy and understanding. The School helps students develop their own cultural identity. The School embed in the curriculum examples drawn from a variety of cultural social, religious & national perspectives.
- Holistic education: The MYP requires an approach to learning and teaching which includes and extends traditional School subjects. The areas of interaction provide the MYP’s main focus of developing links between disciplines, so that students will learn to see knowledge as an interrelated whole.
- Communication: the MYP stresses the central importance of communication, verbal and non-verbal. A good command of expression in all of its forms is fundamental to learning. Communication supports understanding, and allows student reflection and expression.
