  • Approaches to Learning (ATL): a study skills curriculum that focuses effective study habits as well as student organization. ATL is concerned with developing the intellectual discipline, attitudes, strategies and skills. Central to this is “learning how to learn” and developing an awareness of thought processes and their strategic use.

  • Community and Service (CS): an emphasis on extending the focus beyond the classroom and encouraging responsible, caring participation in the local community and the world. The emphasis is on developing community awareness and concern, a sense of responsibility and the skills needed to make an effective contribution to society. Community and Service (CS) hours are required of all IBMYP students. The MYP students are involved in a project : "Volunteer child" it aims at enhancing the principle of volunteerism among children. It attempts to create a new generation that has the will and capacity to implement community service activities that serve their society and reflect a sense of commitment and responsibility towards it.

  • Environment: an emphasis on the importance of conservation and the responsibility of global citizens to accept responsibility for maintaining a natural world fit for their own and future generations. It aims to develop students awareness of their interdependence with the environment.

  • Health and Social Education: an emphasis on preparing the student for a balanced, healthy life-physically and mentally-The integration of this AOI encourages the student to be aware of potential hazards and to make informed choices about what happens to their mind and body. It develops in students a sense of responsibility for their own well-being and for the physical and social environment.

  • Homo Faber (Man the Maker): an emphasis on the study of inventors and creative geniuses who have impacted our world. Through integration of this AOI, the students use their personal resources to improve the quality of life over time.
